Strategy Session size on the hopper

Download weight is the first figure we write on the hopper sticky after the star average. Stars tell us how the US storefront scores a card; size tells us whether a shared device can take that card tonight. On 22 October 2026 the three Strategy Session listings told a clear story: one nearly three-gigabyte title and two that sit under half a gigabyte. This note is only about those published sizes — not about inventing install counts, not about guessing asset packs, and not about hosting anything ourselves.

  1. Put Sky’s Strategy Session size on the sticky first

The App Store card for Sky: Children of the Light listed about 2.99 GB (2992174080 bytes), alongside 4.8 stars from 267,781 ratings, Age 9+, Free with in-app purchases, iOS 15.0+, and version 0.35.1 updated 15 October 2026. That single size line decides whether a shared iPad can take the lead rank tonight. We do not soften the number in conversation, and we do not invent an install counter to “balance” the weight against SNAP or Polytopia. If storage is tight, Sky waits on the sticky while the hopper opens a lighter seat.

We also keep the genre chips nearby — Family, Social Networking, Roleplaying — because they explain why we bother staging three gigabytes for a Strategy Session that is about atmosphere and coordination. Size without context is just a disk warning; size beside the social framing is a planning tool. Bundle com.tgc.sky.ios and app id 1462117269 stay on the passport so we know which listing we measured when the store shuffles artwork later.

  2. Compare the lighter Strategy Session cards without guessing

MARVEL SNAP showed roughly 320.7 MB on the card we opened, with 4.7 stars from 137,103 ratings, Age 9+, Free with IAP, iOS 15.0+, version 58.15.1 updated 20 October 2026. The Battle of Polytopia showed roughly 224.7 MB, with 4.6 stars from 15,513 ratings, the same Age 9+ and Free with IAP pattern, iOS 15.0+, version 2.17.3 updated 7 September 2026. Both are Strategy-leaning titles on the listing — Card for SNAP, Strategy / Adventure for Polytopia — and both fit devices that cannot hold Sky.

We keep those sizes next to the star averages so a thin device can choose the second or third seat without pretending the rating samples are identical. A 4.8 from hundreds of thousands of ratings is not the same evidence weight as a 4.6 from fifteen thousand, even though both averages look tidy on a hopper strip. No public install counter appears on any of the three App Store cards. We write that sentence every time someone asks “but how many downloads?” — we did not invent one.

  3. Leave size as a store fact, not a desk promise

Sizes drift when developers ship assets. Our note is locked to the check date. What this note is not: a guarantee your download will match ours tomorrow, a claim about installs, a performance benchmark, or a host for the binaries. Installs stay on the App Store; we only quote the card. We are not affiliated with Apple, thatgamecompany, Second Dinner Studios Inc., or Midjiwan AB.

When we re-check the hopper, size is the first field we refresh after the star average and the version stamp. If Sky drops or climbs by a noticeable margin, that changes the evening plan more than a one-tenth shift in average. Until then, the Strategy Session sticky reads: ~2.99 GB, ~320.7 MB, ~224.7 MB — three published weights, zero invented counters, and a reminder that Free with in-app purchases still means the store may offer paid items after the download finishes.

Use these figures to stage devices, then install on the App Store. Store and app names belong to their owners.
